UKATA Asbestos Awareness Training
Mandatory training must be given to anyone who may be liable to be exposed to asbestos fibres at work to satisfy Regulation 10 of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012.
If you have no intention of removing asbestos but work on buildings built or refurbished before the year 2000, asbestos could be present. You and your employees will need awareness training so you know how to avoid the risks.
Asbestos awareness training is relevant to a wide variety of trades. In particular, it should be given to all demolition workers and those workers in the refurbishment, maintenance and allied trades where it is foreseeable that their work will disturb the fabric of buildings.
