Paediatric First Aid Training – 2 day course
The qualification is designed for learners with a responsibility for the care of children and babies on a professional level. The purpose of the qualification is for the learner to attain the knowledge and practical competence required to deal with a range of paediatric first aid situations.
This course is accredited by the Nationally recognised awarding body, First Aid Awards Ltd. On successful completion of a course, delegates will gain a nationally recognised level 3 qualification.
This two-day 12 hour qualification fulfils the requirements for first aid training detailed in the Department for Education’s Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage. As such, this course is aimed at and therefore suited to primary schools, nurseries and childminders.
Learners who achieve this qualification will meet Ofsted requirements but it is the employer’s responsibility to ensure that there is adequate cover for the establishment of both 2-day and 1-day qualified paediatric First Aid personnel.
Please note, it is the responsibility of the client to carry out a First Aid Needs Assessment of their workplace to ensure they select correct type and level of training required .
